"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven." Matthew 16:19. This quote proves that if we hold the saints and mary in high regard on earth, the same will be in Heaven, which means we can pray to the saints who can make a more influential request to God on our behalf.So, you see, we do not pretend the saints or Mary have any power of their own for all power is from God, but we ask them to ask God on our behalf.
