Jesus Alone! Faith Alone! How about your Life?

One of my favorite verses in the bible is Romans 10:9 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." This is one of those verses that millions of people have  interpreted the scripture out of context and ran with it. What we need to under stand is that we are called to be Christ like. We can't only preach but yet not walk.  I consider myself to be a Calvinist, but please don't be under the misconception Read more [...]

Recently Fulfilled Prophecy

We know that the Bible speaks of great blessing and prosperity for Israel in the last days.  In Isaiah, the prophet says that “5 Then you will see and be radiant, and your heart will tremble and rejoice, because the riches of the sea will become yours, and the wealth of the nations will come to you.” Isaiah 60:5 (HCSB). Romans 11:26-29 (HCSB) IN the days of the great falling away, there are many heresies.  One of Read more [...]

Guest Post: Probation in Hades

Professor AUGUSTUS HOPKINS STRONG, D. D., LL. D., says: That there is no allusion to a probation after this life, is clear from Luke 16:19–31—the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. Here penalty is inflicted for the sins done “in thy lifetime” (v. 25); this penalty is unchangeable—“there is a great gulf fixed” (v. 26); the rich man asks favors for his brethren who still live on the earth, but none for himself (v. 27, 28).- Strong, A. H. (2004). Systematic Theology. “The Read more [...]

And I'm happy to say to you that in August a book will be released entitled How to Get the Most Out of God's Word which will have some of what I'm saying to you and a whole lot more. It will be a sort of a trade sized paperback book, I'm really excited about it because obviously I have such a passion for the Word of God. And through the years I have written a number of books and articles and things Read more [...]
